  • Corona Virus Update - Environmental Pest Management, Inc.

  • FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Operations of Environmental Pest Management, Inc. - March 17, 2020:

UPDATE: As of 4-1-21, all employees of Environmental Pest Management have received their Covid-19 vaccination

At Environmental Pest Management, we are continuing to monitor the developments regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and taking necessary steps in line with the Center for Disease Control and government guidance where we operate in Indiana County.

Since our industry is classified as essential services, which are necessary to maintain the safety, sanitation, and operation of homes and businesses, our company will continue to service all of our accounts to protect food production facilities, grocery stores, medical facilities, housing units, warehouse, and homes and businesses, and we will remain open and continue our normal hours of operation. Protecting these segments from pests is integral to the public health and success of our communities.

    What our Company is doing:

    • All of our staff are temperature and symptom tested daily for any signs of fever or illness

    • Our technicians will be wearing gloves for all interior treatments and the gloves will be disposed of and replaced after each service

    • We have also implemented disinfecting protocols for both technicians and office staff

    • All staff and employees are required to report any symptoms or signs of illness immediately and precautions will be taken to determine the next steps

Maintaining our Services and What you can Expect:

    • As we have since 1974, Environmental Pest Management will continue to provide quality service, which may be temporarily augmented due to the raised level of concerns.

    • Residential Accounts: Our team will be focusing on preventative exterior services early this year. The temperatures have been mild enough that insects are already beginning to move outside. If you have an issue inside, we will handle that as well upon request.

    • Commercial Accounts: Our team will be focused on visual inspection, not touching many things other than their own materials and equipment. It is very important to continue to service commercial environments in order to maintain safe working environments.

    • Unfortunately, this pandemic does not mean the pests are taking time off. Insects and rodents are very prolific breeders and if left unchecked for a period of time, problems may be become much worse.

    • If there is a need for a retreat we are going to respond as we always have, in a timely and professional manner.

    • Free Pest Identifications are still available at our office, however, in order to limit exposure with walk-in traffic in our office, we ask that you place your specimen(s) in our Bug Drop Box outside of our office door. Also, if you need to drop off a payment, you can place it inside of our locked mailbox under our steps at any time, or you can pay online on our website at: https://www.epestman.com. Feel free to call our office prior to arrival in order to notify us you will be dropping off a specimen.

We, as a nation, are facing a very unusual health-threat at this time. It is my responsibility to protect the health and well-being of both you, my clients, and my fellow employees.

We are monitoring the situation very closely in order to stay on top of this as much as possible to continually determine the best courses of action. If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact our office.

All of us at Environmental Pest Management appreciate your continued business and as we all know, the bugs and insects don’t plan on taking a break!

Feel free to reach out to me with questions or concerns at any time via phone or email: 724-349-7900 or jeff@epestman.com
